Crossfit Pickering has changed my life!
My Aussie friend Wanda introduced me to Crossfit as a suggestion to get fit instead of going to my local "Globo" gym. I looked for a Crossfit box in my area and conducted some research into this idea. After looking into it a bit, I thought "you've got to be kidding me! I can't do that...It looks way too hard."
I had told my wife, Denise, about Crossfit as well...She had the balls to go and see what it was all about, joined a boot camp at crossfitpickering, and fell in love with it.
Seeing the change in her physic and the incredible new strength she attained, I decided to give it a shot.
Let me tell you, it was HARD!! I was 226 lbs at 5'9" and 43years old. I hadn't been active for over 20 years...the pounds just kept slowly piling on almost un-noticed.
The coaching by Marta, Rob and Alex, the scalability of the workouts and a lot of my own hard work, has allowed me to start reaching my potential.
After seven short months of going three times a week for one hour, I have gone from 226 lbs to 190 lbs, from never having been able to do a pull up to be able to do 10 in a row...I even did a 5km run with no extra training without any problems. My fitness level has increased dramatically, which has allowed me to be able to keep up with my kids and do whatever activity comes my way. I can't recommend Crossfit enough to anyone who wants to put in a little effort to get fit and healthy.

When I first came to your studio a few years ago I felt old! Everything ached, snapped or creaked. I had tried to get fit for years, but always quit in frustration and injury. I had come to the conclusion that I just wasn’t an athlete but I knew I had to do something.
Now at age 42 I am in the best physical condition of my life. I have run a 5 K race, I play hockey twice a week, my diet has completely changed and my wife thinks I’m hot!! We even take dance lessons together. Wow what a transformation.
Your studio offers so much more than just body transformation. It’s also about self transformation. Your positive approach, great humour and genuineness inspires others to look at the world in a different way.

I didn't know much about core technology and always felt I had good over all strength and conditioning since I worked out and played many sports. But, after really focusing on the core I notice a huge difference in everything I do. My entire body feels strong and engaged when I compete and it allows me to compete harder, even if it's just riding a mountain bike up a steep hill, you feel the full body control.
