The CrossFit Pickering Barbell and Olympic Weightlifting Program
Its main function is to maximize the strength and power of the athlete utilizing the primary barbell and Olympic lifts.
Athletes will first be instructed in the proper technique with regards to the barbell movements. Once the athlete demonstrates that he/she is capable with the proper form the athlete will follow a linear progression program.
Once the athlete has maximized his/her progression on the linear progression program the athlete will advance to a weekly/monthly periodization program and may choose an emphasis on the barbell or Olympic lifts.
Strict adherence to technique is paramount and the coach will ensure that every athlete is performing the movements correctly before any increases in weight are made.
We train all lifts: Deadlift, squats, shoulder presses, bench press, Clean and Jerk, Snatches.
